At C&L Tool Centre we are committed to offering the best value for our customers. That's why we offer a Price Match Guarantee across our entire product range. If you find a lower price on an identical product from any Australian authorised dealer we will match it. This guarantee ensures you get the best price on your purchase, every time.

Terms and Conditions

C&L TOOL CENTRE (RETAIL INSTORE AND ONLINE)

Retail Price Match Guarantee Terms and Conditions:

1. Minimum spend: A minimum spend of $99 (ex. GST) applies. Orders totalling less than this amount will not be eligible for price matching.
2. Like-for-like products: The product must be identical to the competitor’s product in every respect, including brand, model number, and specifications.
3. Supplied by a major supplier: The product must be sourced from one of C&L Tools' major suppliers.

4. Compared with a listed Australian authorised dealer: The lower-priced item must be publicly listed and available for purchase from an authorised Australian distributor or dealer. In-store price matches will only be considered if the competing store is located within a 10km radius of the C&L Tools store.
5. Proof of the lower price:

​​To qualify for a price match under our Price Match Guarantee, clear and verifiable evidence must be provided on the day of purchase:

• ​Acceptable proof includes a current advertisement, a publicly available price on the competitor’s website, or other official documentation.
• Proof must clearly show the product SKU, specifications, and competitor’s current price.
• The competitor’s price must include applicable taxes, fees, and shipping costs for a fair comparison.
• The lower price must be from a competitor operating in the same region and currency as C&L Tools.

​The Price Match Guarantee does not apply to:

• Clearance, closeout, or liquidation sales.
• Special promotions requiring membership or loyalty programs.
• Prices from third-party marketplace sellers or auction sites.

C&L Tools reserves the right to decline a price match request if the competitor’s offer does not meet these conditions or if sufficient evidence is not provided.

6. Conditions of sale: The competitor’s price must include all applicable taxes, fees, and shipping costs to ensure a fair comparison.
7. 7-Day Price Match Validity: Once your price match request is approved, you have 7 days to place your order at the matched price. If the order is not placed within 7 days, you will need to submit a new price match request and provide updated proof of the competing price.
   • Online Transactions: A one-time-use coupon code will be provided for use at checkout. This code will expire 7 days after it is issued.
   • Offline Transactions: You must submit your final order within 7 days of the price match approval.

Exclusions:

The Price Match Guarantee excludes the following:

1. Clearance Sales: Prices for clearance or closeout sales, where stock is limited or discontinued.
2. Special offers: Prices based on special promotions, offers, or discounts such as rebates, coupons, or membership-specific discounts (e.g., loyalty discounts or rewards programs).
3. Non-Australian sellers: Prices from sellers outside of Australia or those not authorised to operate within Australia.
4. Third-party sellers or auction sites: Prices from auction websites (e.g., eBay) or third-party sellers on marketplace platforms.
5. Pricing Errors: Competitor pricing that is clearly an error will not be matched.
6. Large Commercial Trade Quantities: For large commercial or trade quantity orders, refer to our Business Customer Terms and Conditions.
7. Special Orders: Custom or special orders are excluded from the Price Match Guarantee. 
8. Event Credits: Prices on Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee, or Hitachi products where credits are offered during brand-related roadshows or sales events will not be matched.
9. Resellers: C&L Tools does not price match for resellers.
10. Price Match Limitations: 

​C&L Tools reserves the right to approve only one price match per customer. Prices and specifications are subject to change without notice.​

C&L Tools reserves the right to verify the competitor’s price and product availability before approving any price match request.

B2B Price Match Guarantee Policy

Our Price Match Guarantee ensures competitive pricing while maintaining the highest standards of service and product quality. Below are the terms and conditions of the guarantee:

Guarantee Conditions:

1. Minimum spend: A minimum spend of $2,500 (ex. GST) applies. Orders totalling less than this amount will not be eligible for price matching.
2. Like-for-like product: The product must be identical in every aspect, including brand, model number, and specifications. The product must also be available and in stock for sale to the general public in Australia, in the same location.
3. Supplied by a major supplier: The product must either be in stock or supplied by one of our major suppliers. Exceptions may apply—please contact your dedicated account manager for more details.

4. Compared with an Australian authorised dealer: The lower-priced item must be listed and available for purchase from an authorised Australian distributor or dealer.
5. Proof of the lower price: 

​An official PDF quote from the competitor must be provided at the time of the price match request. Requests without the required proof may not be considered. All proof must include:

• Product SKUs
• The competitor’s current pricing. The price must be verifiable and must meet all listed conditions.​​​

6. Conditions of sale: The competitor's price must include all applicable taxes, fees, charges, and shipping costs to ensure a fair comparison. It must also be lower than our price on the day you notify us of the lower price.
7. 7-Day Price Match Validity: Once your price match request is approved, you have 7 days to place your order at the matched price. If the order is not placed within 7 days, you will need to submit a new price match request and provide updated proof of the competing price.
   • Online Transactions: A one-time-use coupon code will be provided for use at checkout. This code will expire 7 days after it is issued.
   • Offline Transactions: You must submit your final order within 7 days of the price match approval.

Exclusions:

The following are not eligible for the Price Match Guarantee:

1. Clearance Sales: Prices for clearance, closeout sales, stock liquidations, seconds, second-hand goods, refurbished items, ex-demonstration, or display products.
2. Special offers: Pricing based on special promotions, rebates, coupons, or membership-specific discounts (e.g., loyalty discounts or rewards programs).
3. Non-Australian sellers: Prices from sellers outside of Australia or those not authorised to operate within Australia.
4. Third-party Sellers or Auction sites: Prices from auction websites (e.g., eBay), third-party sellers on marketplace platforms, or small privately owned businesses.
5. Current Contracted Customers: Business customers on a fixed-price agreement or contract with C&L Tools (B2B) are not eligible. Contact your account manager to discuss your contract pricing.
6. Pricing Errors: Requests will not be considered if the competitor’s price or our price is an error.
7. Special Orders: Special or custom orders are excluded. Additionally, our standard returns policy for non-stocked products applies.
8. Event Credits: Price matches will not be considered where credits are already offered on Makita, DeWalt, Milwaukee, or Hitachi during brand-related roadshows or sales events.
9. Resellers: The Price Match Guarantee does not apply to resellers.
10. Payment Terms: Customers with a history of delayed payments beyond agreed trading terms may not qualify for price matching.
