The 12V Max pruning shears (UP100D) feature a brushless motor making them slim and lightweight. This design reduces user fatigue when used for extended periods, and with the battery mounted directly on the tool, manoeuvrability is also improved. The shear blade control is interlocked with the trigger for ease of use, meaning the blades will only open and close depending on the degree the trigger is depressed or released. The shear blade opening angle can be adjusted electronically with a single button. There is also an external oil port that allows the blades to be lubricated without disassembly. To protect the internal components from the elements, the UP100D also has eXtreme Protection Technology. The UP100D is a compact, lightweight unit designed for the serious gardener or commercial contractor.
